Why Is Small Business the Most Trusted Group in America?

No one would have predicted that Mark and Mimi Comfort would become the nation’s #1 franchise in their travel business for 21 straight years. They were just a couple of newly-weds with two small children when they decided to take a leap of faith and invest in a Cruise Holidays franchise. Early on, they articulated a powerful mission to “Create Memories That Last a Lifetime.”

Over the past quarter-century, Mark and Mimi have experienced the American Dream. Yes, they have worked more than their share of 50 hour weeks and overcome consistent adversity.  But, they have also created dozens of jobs and helped tens of thousands of people enjoy world travel. With success stories like that, is it any wonder that, according to a poll from the PEW Research Center, small businesses are the most trusted group in America?

The 5 million small businesses, and all of their employees, should be proud – America trusts YOU most.

But, what does this actually mean for you? Maybe it is time for you to start your own business.  Without new business startups and small business growth, there is no job creation.  If you’re already a business owner, maybe it’s time for you to expand your business, serve more customers, create more jobs, and enjoy greater prosperity.

As venture capitalist, Guy Kawasaki said, “The best reason to start an organization is to make meaning; to create a product or service to make the world a better place.”

ABC News recently reported that small business owners have “the power to change our world” – as they create 65% of all new jobs.

Going hand in hand with the “power to change the world,” are the challenges and roadblocks that can arise.
